The NI Executive launched the Sustainable Development Strategy, 'Everyone's Involved', on 27 May 2010. The strategy has been designed to provide a framework that can support and inform the decisions and actions taken by individuals, groups and organisations in progressing the sustainability agenda.
Since then, the principles of sustainable development have been integrated into the work of all Departments and District Councils through high level policies and strategies such as the Programme for Government.
