The Northern Ireland Countryside Survey (NICS2000) provides an estimate of land cover in the landscape and what changes have occurred since the baseline NICS. The primary land cover types and field boundary types have been aggregated in Broad Habitats. These represent a classification of the terrestrial environment developed for the UK Biodiversity Action Plan.
