Northern Ireland greenhouse gas projections based on 2021 greenhouse gas inventory

This paper details the impact of the annual update to the Northern Ireland greenhouse gas projection tool. It projects greenhouse gas emissions from 2022 to 2032 and considers the reduction of emissions from 1990 to 2032.
Please note that this publication does not consider the proposals being formulated for the NI Climate Action Plan and which will go to public consultation.
As such, this release should be seen as a ‘business as usual’ publication and a continuation of the methodologies inherent in the last release, published in February 2023.
