Potential for advanced-moorings as a management option for Strangford Lough Marine Protected Areas, 2022-2024

This report presents the details of a pioneering trial looking at alternative mooring systems in Strangford Lough. The trial aimed to remove the impact of mooring chain drag on the seabed and thereby protect the seagrass habitat. The report details the set up of the trail in 2022 and provides yearly updates and results from 2023 and 2024.
