  • Prosperity Agreement Progress Report 2016

    Topics:
    • Sustainability,
    • Prosperity

    Date published: 30 May 2017

This report provides the progress and achievements of all businesses in the Prosperity Programme up to the end of 2016.

    Background

Every action in the prosperity agreement is voluntary and will improve both environmental and economic outcomes. Companies must ensure they not only meet the environmental standards required, but go beyond them. The progress of each agreement is closely monitored by NIEA, who meet companies at least quarterly and who have an internal Prosperity Agreement Steering Group.

Agreements are only entered into with companies who have a strong environmental compliance record, as part of strict eligibility criteria determined by DAERA.

Four agreements have been signed since the programme began in 2014 and the end of 2016:

    • Linden Foods and Linergy - August 2014
    • Lafarge - March 2015
    • John Thompson and Sons - July 2015
    • Coca Cola HBC NI - February 2016

A number of other prosperity agreements are currently being developed. If you wish to grow your company / organisation in a sustainable way while contributing to the environment, you may gain from a Prosperity Agreement.
