The Fisheries and Seafood Development Programme (FSDP) was tasked to review the opportunities for developing the sea fishing and seafood sectors, and to examine the potential for public investment in infrastructure, and to make recommendations to the Departments.The FSDP is to report in two stages;Stage 1 deals with the opportunities available to the fish catching sectorStage 2 will examine opportunities for processors and other shore based businesses and is expected the end of December
In publishing the Stage 1 report the Department is also publishing its response to the recommendations of the report and an indicative forward work plan.
