The Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs (DAERA) has published this guidance to explain to keepers the system adopted in Northern Ireland for the registration of pig holdings, and the identification and movement of pigs. The system implements Council Directive 2008/71/EC (the EU Directive).
