The relevant UK Government Departments have jointly published a statement setting out the approach to transposing the 2020 CEP waste measures.
The statement and supporting documents set out some background on the key aspects of the CEP and the changes which will be made to implement the CEP across the UK.

DAERA will be taking forward and introducing the relevant amendments to legislation in 2020.
A key aspect and aim of the CEP is to increase recycling of waste of a household nature from households and other sources. DAERA has recently published a discussion document on the 'Future Recycling and Separate Collection of Waste of a Household Nature in Northern Ireland' to seek views on a range of proposals to help shape the landscape of waste management.
