    • Fisheries in County Fermanagh

Lower Lough Erne is the larger of two linked lakes that make up the Lough Erne system in County Fermanagh, forming its northern part as a widened stretch of the River Erne.

Many fishing stands are available, making access easier for anglers, who may catch trout weighing five kilograms or more.

As a designated game fishery, Lower Lough Erne has distinct permit, licence, and regulation requirements compared to Upper Lough Erne.

Boat hire is available at various locations. Ask for information in any tourist office.
