DAERA offers to support one half day workshop per year for each Public Authority listed in the Schedule to the Rural Needs Act (NI) 2016 on request. To request attendance by DAERA at workshops, Rural Needs Co-ordinators should contact DAERA well in advance at rural.needs@daera-ni.gov.uk. Note that responsibility for arranging workshops lies with individual Public Authorities.
It is recommended that Public Authorities host regular workshops for decision makers within their organisation (based on need) for the purposes of increasing awareness and understanding of the duties on Public Authorities under the Rural Needs Act (NI) 2016.
