  • A ‘tasty career’ awaits you at Loughry Campus

    Date published: 21 March 2017

The recent agri-food careers fair at Loughry Campus highlighted the variety of jobs available in today’s fast-moving food industry.

National Diploma student Philip Beattie finds out more about food careers from Finnebrogue at our recent Agri Food Careers event.

Our biggest manufacturing sector was well represented with exhibitors from many different companies, including ABP, Dale Farm, Dunbia, Fane Valley, Finnebrogue, Foyle Food Group, Genesis Crafty, Glanbia, Karro Food Group, Kepak, LacPatrick, Linden Foods, Moy Park, Scott’s Bakery, Western Brand Poultry and various mushroom producers, all in attendance.

Students heard about the fantastic range of career prospects and graduate programmes available and discussed placement opportunities with potential employers.

Employability is a key feature of Loughry’s programmes. The practical skills developed across all courses from National Diploma to Honours Degree level, added to close links with the food industry, result in Loughry students having a very high success rate when job hunting.

A tasty career to suit your skills and interests is out there waiting for you!

Loughry has courses available for students leaving school after Years 12, 13, and 14. Come along and find out more at the Open Evening on Tuesday 4 April 2017 from 3pm to 8pm. See the CAFRE website for details.
