DAERA held a climate change adaptation training event for public bodies on Friday, 28th November 2025, at the CAFRE Greenmount Campus.
The aim of the event was to:
- Support public bodies in gathering information for adaptation reports under the Climate Change (Reporting Bodies) Regulations (NI) 2024.
- Help public bodies understand how they might assess climate-related risks and opportunities relevant to their functions.
- Build understanding of climate adaptation across public bodies to empower more planning and collaboration.
The event featured speakers from DAERA’s Climate Change Adaptation and Public Body Reporting policy teams, Climate NI, the Met Office and Fermanagh and Omagh District Council.
