The North Woodburn Glen was formed by the northern tributary of the Woodburn River.
The slopes of this glen are covered by ash/hazel woodland. The site has a rich ground flora with several local plant species (eg toothwort) occur. Rich bryophyte (land plants that are non vascular) flora.
