Drinking Water Inspectorate - Information Letter 04/16 - To inform local councils of regulatory and organisational changes

The purpose of this letter is to inform local councils of the regulatory changes to transfer the regulation of the quality of public drinking water supplies from the Department for Regional Development to the Department of Environment, the subsequent reorganisation of Government Departments, and the appointment of a new chief inspector of drinking water.
