These documents provide useful advice and guidance in relation to exporting breeding / production (non slaughter) cattle to EU Member States direct from their premises of origin and have been updated to take account of the Animal Health Law Regulations for EU Trade. Only to be used on or after 11 October 2021.
Ireland have published a derogation which permits movement for Breeding and Production without additional Bluetongue requirements so long as NI only has BTV3.
CURRENTLY NO ADDITIONAL BLUETONGUE REQUIREMENTS ARE NEEDED FOR EXPORT TO IRELAND FOR BREEDING & PRODUCTION.
An additional certificate template guidance is available below to show you how to complete the Bluetongue attestations needed for Ireland. Please use this in combination with the existing guidance for completion of the wider certificate.
Exports for breeding & production to other EU member States MAY be possible if the Member State is not BT Free and allows derogations from BT requirements. Advice regarding completion of the EHC for Member States with available derogations will be provided to the certifying vet on a case-by-case basis.
