The links below provide details of the documentation required for the trade in captive birds from Northern Ireland to another European Union (EU) Member State and have been updated to take account of the Animal Health Law Regulations for EU Trade implemented from 11 October 2021.

All animals for export must be accompanied by either a journey log (for journeys over 8 hours to other EU Member States) or an Animal Transport Certificate (for all other journeys). To obtain a Journey Log contact either Dungannon or Mallusk DAERA Office.
