Northern Ireland Catchment Stakeholder Groups

Date published: 07 October 2015

The nine Catchment Stakeholder Groups (CSGs) were set up to encourage public participation in dealing with water quality issues.

Each CSG comprises representatives of all major local and regional stakeholder sectors/groups, and relevant Government agencies, brought together to support and encourage a joint approach to identifying and solving catchment-scale water management issues.

NIEA works with the stakeholders, through CSG meetings, to develop focused Local Management Area Plans, used to implement the Water Framework Directive

Note that these Catchment stakeholder groups digital datasets are also available on the Open Data NI website.
