Statistics on the state of the water environment are published annually in the Northern Ireland Environmental Statistics Report. WFD data is not updated each year due to the timescales of the monitoring. An interim WFD status was provided for all water bodies in 2018. This report can be found here. The report below provides an updated assessment of groundwater status in 2020.
The data used to determine status for groundwater is based on the latest data collected up to the end of the previous calendar year, in this case 2019.
