Sustainable Farming Investment Scheme (SFIS)
What is it: A capital grant scheme to support investment in equipment and technology to help primary food producers in the agricultural and horticultural sectors to improve their environmental performance, animal health, and business efficiency
Who is eligible: Primary food producers, across the livestock, arable and horticulture sectors with a Category 1 Farm Business ID.

Closing date/time: The scheme opened for applications on 21 July 2026.
The application window will be open for 6 weeks. Applications must be submitted by 11:59pm on 3 September 2026.

Beef Carbon Reduction Scheme
What is it: Payment scheme for beef farmers in NI
Who can opt-in: Beef farmers who have kept and slaughtered eligible animals and who have made an eligible FSP claim

Suckler Cow Scheme
What is it: Payment support scheme for suckler cow farmers in NI
Who can opt-in: Farmers who have an eligible FSP claim and who have had eligible animals who have had calving events in the relevant scheme year
