Project Description: AtkinsRéalis are laying a new surface water sewer on Parkgate Avenue/Mersey Street, Belfast on behalf of NI Water. This will discharge 5.9 l/s into Connswater via a new outfall pipe to serve a proposed development on Parkgate Avenue Belfast.
These works will include the excavation, laying and reinstatement of 15m of
160mm diameter uPVC outfall pipe constructed on the river bed at Conn's Water,
north of Mersey Street Bridge to serve a development on Parkgate Avenue, Belfast.
The pipe will be installed beneath the existing CFA piled flood wall between
adjacent piles. The proposed headwall will be a precast concrete structure.
