Certifying Officer Authorisation (COA) Online service

Before you start

COA will administer authorisation for the following officer types

• Authorised Private Veterinary Practitioners
• DAERA Certifying Officers
• DAERA Fish Health Inspectors
• Food Competent Certifying Officers
• DAERA Trade Certification Support Officers (not applicable to Certification Support Officers)

This page provides a link to instructions for aPVPs and FCCOs on how access to the COA system. DAERA Staff please use DAERA specific guidance available on DAERA Intranet.

Please allow 2 working days for training completions to be reflected on the system, do not complete any certification until the authorisation has been granted on the system.

System access requires the user to have a NIDA or Government Gateway account.

If you are accessing the system for the first time, please refer to the onboarding instructions below.

Please note: If you do not have a NIDA or Government Gateway account you will be prompted to create one – If you have an existing account, please make sure you have your login credentials (NIDA/Government Gateway code and password)
