Drinking water

The Drinking Water Inspectorate (DWI) is a unit within the Northern Ireland Environment Agency (NIEA) responsible for regulating drinking water quality in Northern Ireland for both public and private supplies.

If your water is supplied by Northern Ireland Water and you are concerned about the quality of your drinking water contact Waterline on 03457 440088. They will arrange for a sample to be lifted and analysed.

If you have any queries concerning your private water supply, contact the Drinking Water Inspectorate or the Environmental Health department of your local council
