December 2021

3rd

  • HPAI H5N1 confirmed in premises in the ROI close to the border between County Monaghan and County Armagh (ROI IP3).
  • DAERA declared SZ to replace TCZ-B at 12:00

7th

  • HPAI H5N1 confirmed on a premises in Aughnacloy, County Tyrone (IP1)
  • HPAI H5N1 confirmed on in a premises in Broughshane, County Antrim (IP2)
  • 3km PZ and 10km SZ declared around both premises effective from 08:45

9th

  • HPAI H5N1 confirmed in the ROI in premises close to the border between County Cavan and County Fermanagh (ROI IP4).
  • DAERA declared a 10km SZ in the part of NI lying within 10km of the IP, effective from 08:00

10th

  • Temporary Control Zones (TCZs) introduced at 20:00 in Armagh, County Armagh on suspicion of notifiable avian influenza, including initial laboratory results.
  • Samples sent to NRL to confirm strain and pathogenicity.

11th

  • TCZs introduced at 20:00 in Coagh, County Tyrone on suspicion of notifiable avian influenza.
  • Samples sent to the NRL to confirm strain and pathogenicity.

13th

  • HPAI H5N1 confirmed in ROI in premises close to the border between County Monaghan and County Armagh (ROI IP5).
  • DAERA declared a 3km PZ and 10km SZ in the part of NI lying within 3km and 10km of the IP, effective from 14:00

17th

  • HPAI H5N1 confirmed in commercial premises in Armagh, County Armagh (IP3)
  • HPAI H5N1 confirmed in Coagh, County Tyrone (IP4)
  • TCZs revoked.  3km PZ and 10km SZ declared around both premises, effective from 09.00. 

18th

  • HPAI H5N1 confirmed in ROI in premises close to the border between County Monaghan and County Armagh (ROI IP6).
  • DAERA declared SZ in the part of NI that lies 10km of the IP, effective from 18:00
  • TCZs introduced around premises in Ballinderry, County Londonderry following suspicion of notifiable avian influenza, including initial laboratory results, effective from 18:30
  • Samples sent to the NRL to confirm strain and pathogenicity.

  • TCZs revoked. 3km PZ and a 10km SZ declared around IP, effective from 09.00

  • PZ merges with SZ in Broughshane (IP2) at 08:45 following depopulation and preliminary cleansing and disinfection at the affected premises

January 2022

  • PZ merges with SZ in Aughnacloy (IP1) at 15:00 following depopulation and preliminary cleansing and disinfection at the affected premises
  • Local movement restrictions lifted at 18:00 in Broughshane following the successful completion of all disease control activities and surveillance at IP2.

  • PZ merges with SZ in Coagh (IP4) at 15:15 following depopulation and preliminary cleansing and disinfection at the affected premises

7th

  • PZ extending into NI from premises in ROI (ROI IP5) merges with SZ extending into NI at 12:00, following depopulation and cleansing and disinfection at the affected premises.

11th

  • Local movement restrictions lifted at 15:00 in Aughnacloy following the successful completion of all disease control activities and surveillance at IP1.

13th

  • Local movement restrictions lifted at 14:30 in Armagh following the successful completion of all disease control activities and surveillance at IP3.
  • PZ merges with SZ in Ballinderry (IP5) at 16:00 following depopulation and preliminary cleansing and disinfection at the affected premises

  • Samples sent to the NRL to confirm strain and pathogenicity.

  • HPAI H5N1 confirmed in Enniskillen, County Fermanagh (IP6).
  • TCZs revoked. 3km PZ and a 10km SZ declared around IP, effective from 15:35

March 2022

1st

  • PZ merges with SZ in Enniskillen (IP6) at 15:35 following depopulation and preliminary cleansing and disinfection at the affected premises
