Information Events on the Proposed Nutrients Action Programme for 2026-2029
The Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs (DAERA) has launched a Public Consultation following the fourth review of the Nutrients Action Programme. The consultation is seeking views on proposals for the Nutrients Action Programme for 2026-2029.
To coincide with the consultation the Department is holding a series of information events. These events are an opportunity for you to find out more about what is included in the proposed Nutrients Action Programme 2026 – 2029 and the consultation. They will include the following:
- A presentation on the outcome of the review of the previous Nutrients Action Programme and proposals for the new Nutrients Action Programme contained in the Consultation document
- A presentation from AFBI on Water Quality, why we need the additional measures in the new Nutrients Action Programme
- A presentation on Sustainable Use of Livestock Slurry
- Questions and Answers (Panel) 30 Minutes.

- Tuesday 20 May, in person event at CAFRE, Loughry Campus Recreation Centre, from 2pm to 4pm
- Wednesday 28 May Online webinars – you must register for the webinar, these will be recorded and available on the Department’s website after the event. To register for one of these events please do so using the following links:

These events are open to all with an interest in learning more about the proposed new Nutrients Action Programme and to assist with and encourage responses to the consultation.
