The Woodland Register and basemap provide information about the current extent and location of woodland and forest cover in Northern Ireland. The reigister also provides a benchmark against which change in the area of woodland and forest cover can be measured.
Forest Service is preparing a revised woodland register and basemap for Northern Ireland. This scoping document provides background to the woodland register and basemap and invites stakeholders to share data that would be of value in providing a picture of the full extent of Northern Ireland’s forest and woodland cover.
