  • Deadweight price reporting

    Topics:
    • Livestock Farming,
    • Beef farming

The purpose of deadweight cattle price reporting is to provide UK authorities with prices, which are representative of the national beef production figures. It is a useful source of statistical data in determining the state of National Farm incomes.

    Market information

These prices are also used by the UK authorities to calculate if there is a need for market support. Agri-food Inspection Branch (AfIB) undertakes this work.

Current market information can be obtained via the Livestock and Meat Commission website.

Further information can be obtained from the Agri-food Inspection Branch.
