Paragraph 26 allows the recovery, or disposal of waste at the place where it is produced, as an integral part of the process that produces it. It also allows the storage at the place where it is produced, of waste which is intended to be so recovered or disposed of.
Paragraph 27 allows baling, compacting, crushing, shredding or pulverising of waste at the place where it is produced.
The disposal of waste at the place where it is produced, by the person producing it, by burning it in an incinerator which has a net rated thermal input1 of less than 0.3 megawatt if the total amount of waste burned does not exceed 50 kg per hour.
Paragraph 30 allows the burning of Plant Tissue1 waste on land in the open and the storage of this waste on land where it is to be burned pending it’s burning.
Paragraph 31 allows the discharge of waste onto the track from a sanitary convenience or sink forming part of a vehicle used for the carriage of passengers on the railway.
Paragraph 32 allows the burial on premises of waste arising from the use on those premises of a sanitary convenience which is equipped with a removable receptacle if the total amount buried in any period of twelve months does not exceed 5 cubic metres.
Paragraph 33 allows the keeping or deposit of waste consisting of excavated materials arising from peatworking.
Paragraph 34 allows the keeping or deposit on land where it is produced of spent ballast if the land is operational land1 of a railway, light railway, or tramway.
Paragraph 35 allows the deposit of waste consisting of excavated material from a borehole or other excavation made for the purpose of mineral exploration.
Paragraph 36 allows the temporary storage of waste, either garbage1 or tank washings2 , at a harbour or terminal, from ships3 that normally use that harbour or terminal.
The following templates must be completed when waste is being spread on land under a Paragraph 9 or Paragraph 10A exemption.
Paragraph 25 allows the deposit and, treatment by screening or dewatering of waste arising from dredging or from clearing plant matter from inland waters.
