This stretch of the River Bush offers the opportunity to fish for wild brown trout, which can provide fast and furious sport. There is also a chance of a salmon in the deeper pools.
The extent of the fishery is upstream from the crest of the salmon leap falls.

Fishing methods Fly fishing only from 1st March to 30th June. Fly fishing, spinning and worm fishing from 1st July - 20th October. Please note, spinning is only permitted between the crest of the salmon leap falls and Bellisle Bridge and on the Stracam River between its confluence with the River Bush and Dervock.
Bag Limit Four Brown Trout minimum length of 25.4cm. Salmon and sea trout - catch and release only.

  • From Portrush:
    • Take the B66 to Bushmills through Dervock, turn left over the bridge in Bushmills, and left again into the Salmon Station.
    • Take the B62, through Ballybogey for 6.83 miles, turn right onto the B17 to Bushmills; turn right into Bridge Street and right again just before the bridge into the Salmon Station.
  • From Ballymoney:
