River Maine
This section of the River Maine is a wild salmon and brown trout fishery managed by Maine Angling Club on behalf of DAERA. The river also supports dollaghan, which can reach weights of up to 2.25kg and provide excellent sport, particularly during periods of low water. The fishery offers approximately 6.5km of fishing on both banks of the river, with a varied mix of pools, glides and runs suitable for a range of angling methods.
Tickets
There are 10 half-price day tickets available to holders of DAERA Game Season Permits. This extends, with a small number of exceptions, for approximately 6.5 km on both banks of the river from Hillmount Weir to a point around 3 km upstream of Dunminning Bridge, as marked by club boundary markers.

The permit outlet is normally closed on public and bank holidays. From Monday to Saturday, permits are available between 9.00am and 5.00pm.
Sunday fishing is not permitted, and children under 16 years of age must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
