    The Department directed the Appeals Commission under Regulation 17(1) of the Abstraction and Impoundment Regulations 2006, on 5th September 2024 to hold a public local inquiry to consider representations in respect of the applications submitted on the 26th July 2024.

    -AIL/2024/0008 and AIL/2024/0009

    Applications have been made by Dalradian Gold Ltd to the NIEA, an Agency of the Department of Agriculture, Environment & Rural Affairs, for authorisation under the Water Abstraction and Impoundment (Licensing) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2006.

    The Applicant has applied for two (listed below) abstraction and impoundment licences at the proposed Curraghinalt Mine, adjacent to 80 Mullydoo Road, Greencastle, County Tyrone, BT79 7QP (E258418, N383902). by Dalradian Gold Ltd on the 26th July 2024.
