A paragraph 22 exemption allows the recovery of silver from wastes produced in connection with printing or photographic processing. Guidance and application forms can be found below.

Waste stream(s) permitted

Wastes produced as a result of printing or photographic processing.

Quantity

No more than 50,000 litres of waste can be dealt with in any day.

Storage and location

The storage must be at the premises where the recovery operation takes place.
