The Rural Data Hub integrates existing NISRA Census 2021 data into a single, accessible interface, tailored for rural analysis. Its key feature is the ability to create bespoke area profiles at lower geographies by selecting data zones and generating interactive charts with rural/urban comparisons, which can be downloaded for ease of interpretation.
Before you start
Rural data is diverse and is dispersed across multiple platforms, such as the Northern Ireland Statistics and Research Agency (NISRA) Data Portal and Flexible Table Builder. While these platforms provide comprehensive datasets, they do not have a rural focus, and can be complex to navigate, making it challenging for users to extract and interpret rural-specific data.
