Register equine and other non-farm animal establishments
Topics:
If you own or have responsibility for any establishment where equines (or other non-farm animals) are kept, you must register the establishment with DAERA.
'Equines' means horses, ponies, donkeys, zebras and crossbreeds of those species.
Before you start
- You’ll need to prove your identity using GOV.UK’s Government Gateway or Northern Ireland Identity Assurance (NIDA) provided by nidirect. If you do not have current credentials from either of the identity providers then you will be asked to create credentials.
- To receive an equine establishment number (EEN), you will also need a DAERA business ID (you may or may not be a trading business)
- If you already have a business ID, you will be asked to choose or enter it
- If you do not already have a business ID, we can create one for you - you will be asked to provide additional details as part of the registration
