    This page has been published to provide information on the new Northern Ireland Retail Movement Scheme and the NI Plant Health Label Scheme. Please note that information not related to NIRMS or NIPHL on this page is currently under review.

    Groupage definition: Referring to the movement of multiple SPS consignments within a single sealed trailer/container.

    Consignment definition: A quantity of retail goods covered by the same GC, conveyed by the same means of transport, dispatched by a GB listed establishment and delivered to a NI listed establishment.

    Basic Requirements for all NIRMS Groupage scenarios

    • CHED/GC and packing list per consignment.
    • CHED-P Pre-notification.
    • Sealing of consignments.
    • Channelling of consignments.

    Requirements for NIRMS Groupage Models/Scenarios

    1. Consignments dispatched from a GB listed consolidation/distribution hub to a number of NI destination listed establishments within the one business
      • Same seal entered on all CHEDs/GCs
      • Same packing list acceptable for all CHEDs/GCs (should specify products going to each destination)
      • First point of (same business) NI listed destination upload photo of unbroken seal
      • Subsequent same business NI listed destinations upload Proof of Delivery (PoD) Notice at each destination (must include location, date, time & consignment details)

    1. Consignments dispatched from a GB listed consolidation/distribution hub to a number of distinct NI destination listed establishments
      • Each consignment loaded should be readily identified with a unique (seal) number on the outer packaging for identification purposes. This number should also be entered as seal no. on the corresponding CHED/GC.
      • Trailer must be sealed following last collection. Seal on door of trailer should match that on CHED/GC and outer packaging for the last consignment loaded.
      • First Point of Destination (distinct listed NI establishment): upload photo of unbroken seal
      • Subsequent destinations (distinct listed NI establishment/s): upload Proof of Delivery notice at each destination (must include location, date, time, & consignment details)

    1. Consignments dispatched from a Number of GB listed establishments delivering to one or a number of NI destination listed establishments.
      • Each consignment loaded should be readily identified with a unique (seal) number on the outer packaging for identification purposes. This number should also be entered as seal no. on the corresponding CHED/GC.
      • Trailer must be sealed following last collection. Seal on door of trailer should match that on CHED/GC and outer packaging for the last consignment loaded.
      • First Point of Destination (distinct listed NI establishment): upload photo of unbroken seal
      • Subsequent destinations (distinct listed NI establishment/s): upload Proof of Delivery notice at each destination (must include location, date, time, & consignment details)
