Farming with Nature Landscape Projects - Available Funding

The proposed budget for the scheme has been based on the initial funding of 10 successful projects with 50 participating farm businesses in each.

The scheme will provide funding for three main areas of expenditure:

Project development: Funding for administration, habitat assessment and mapping, facilitation, monitoring and evaluation, and farmer training. A total of £4 million is proposed across the 10 projects over five years.

Bespoke landscape actions: Grants to support habitat creation, restoration and management across multiple farms, tailored to improve biodiversity and habitat connectivity. A total of £5 million is proposed across the 10 projects over four years, although the final allocation will depend on the scale of the projects selected through the competitive call.

Farmer participation: Yearly payments of up to £1,000 per farmer for attending training and other events over the 5 years of the Scheme. An additional payment of £500 will be available to farmers who participate in monitoring the effects of scheme actions on their land during the project delivery phase.
