Farming with Nature Landscape Projects
Farming with Nature Landscape Projects aims to support collaborative action on a landscape scale.
The Farming with Nature Landscape Projects (FwNLP) Scheme forms part of the wider Farming with Nature Package within Northern Ireland’s Sustainable Agriculture Programme. It is designed to support farmers and land managers across all land types to deliver meaningful environmental improvements while building more sustainable farming systems. The Package aims to reverse nature decline through retaining, maintaining, restoring and creating habitats that are important for species diversity and improved connectivity between habitat areas.
The Farming with Nature Landscape Projects (FwNLP) Scheme is designed to support farmers and stakeholders working collaboratively to undertake landscape-scale projects aimed at enhancing biodiversity recovery and habitat connectivity at a landscape or regional level that cannot be delivered on a single farm.

The scheme aims to encourage innovation through bespoke landscape actions tailored to the requirements of each project area, with particular emphasis on improving the quality, extent and connectivity of habitats.
Support for landscape actions between groups of farmers and other partners will encompass facilitation to coordinate individual projects, followed by dedicated development and delivery phases. DAERA will provide advice and guidance whilst also supporting innovation and knowledge transfer as integral components of the collaborative action.
