  • FwNT Scheme Conditions

    Topics:
    • Grants and Funding,
    • Area-based Schemes 2025,
    • New & Future Schemes

There is no minimum area requirement to participate in FwNT, however your application must be over a minimum value of £2500.

There is also a maximum application value of £9500.

You must agree to the terms and conditions, as part of the declaration contained in the link below.

FwNT cannot be used to pay for environmental management activities that are already being funded on the same land area by another funding source, including DAERA.

You must check if you have land which is under contract or obligation to other schemes e.g., Small Woodland Grant Scheme or other Forestry Grants, Management of Sensitive Sites scheme (MOSS), Heritage Lottery Funding or other similar schemes.

It is your responsibility to ensure that double funding does not occur.  Where there is evidence that you have knowingly claimed under FwNT for management activities that have received or will receive payment from another source, this may result in the recovery of payments already made.

FwNT cannot be used to fund environmental management activities that are required by law or by any legally binding contract or obligation.
