Brantry Lough is a mixed fishery stocked with brown trout and rainbow trout, at times there are good falls of terrestrial insects blown onto the lake from the surrounding vegetation particularly daddy long legs and red ant during August. This site is managed in conjunction with the local council and anglers should be mindful of the general public usage within this location.

The presence of Zebra Mussels is still preventing the stocking of fish from Movanagher Fish Farm. For more information, please visit Zebra Mussels and impact on fish stocking in the Public Angling Estate.
